Windows Installer CleanUp – Remove Windows Installer Settings

The Windows Installer CleanUp Utility is designed to allow you to safely remove Windows Installer settings from your computer in the event of a problem. You may want to remove the Windows Installer configuration information for your program if you experience installation (Setup) problems. For example, you may have to remove a program’s Windows Installer configuration information if you have installation problems when you try to add (or remove) a component of your program that was not included when you first installed your program.

The Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not perform the following functions:
Remove files of any programs that are installed by Windows Installer, such as Microsoft Office 2003
Provides a dialog Box in which you can select one or more programs that were installed by Windows Installer
To do this, select the programs that you want in the Installed Products list in the Windows Installer CleanUp dialog box. After you make this selection, the utility removes only the Windows Installer configuration information that is related to those programs.
Removes the files and registry settings that make up the Windows Installer configuration information for programs that you select
If you use this utility to remove the Windows Installer configuration information for your program and you plan to reinstall the program, you should reinstall the program in the same folder where you originally installedit. This prevents duplication of files on your hard disk or disks.

Facebook Android App Surpasses iPhone App in Daily Users‎

Android is being used more frequently than iPhone to access Facebook for the first time ever, according to stats complied by AppData.
AppData stats reveals Facebook for Android has 58.3 million average daily users compared with an average of 57.4 million daily users who access the social network via an iPhone app.
The Android app, which was released in September 2009 – a full year after the iPhone app – still trails the iPhone inmonthly average users accessing Facebook, tallying 85.4 million users to the iPhone app’s 99.1 million. However, the monthly user data doesn’t reflect the “stickiness” of the daily user data, or the number of users who return ona daily basis. In that measurement, the Android app’s 68.2 percent still leads over the iPhone app’s 57.9 percent.
One explanation for the leadership change could be the fact that more than 550,000 devices are being activated every day – up from a daily tally of 500,000 in June and 400,000 in May. More than 200 million Android devices have now been activated around the world, Google announced last month.
