Pantel’s BSNL Penta T-Pad IS701C Android Tablet – Price Rs. 4,999

Technologies Private Limited) has launched its new Android tablet in the Indian market, named Penta T-Pad IS701C . PTPL has a reverse bundlingalliance with BSNL to reach to the remote areas of India.
T-Pad IS701C features a 7-inch TFT LCD capacitivemulti-touch screen with a resolution of 800X480 pixels. The device runs Android Ice cream Sandwich operating system. The Penta T-Pad IS701C tablet is a Wi-Fi device with 3G USB dongle support.
The Penta T-Pad IS701C tablet has 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The device comes with 720p HDMI port and its with enhanced viewing experience. It also comes with host USB 2.0 port , micro USB port, 0.3 MP front camera and has 6 hours of battery life.
According to Pantel, the tablet comes pre-loaded with many applications including Facebook, Twitter, Angry Birds and Skype. The BSNL Penta T-Pad IS701C is priced at Rs. 4,999 . The tablet come with a promotional offer of 3 month free data download. BSNL is also giving 2G SIM along with all the tablets.

BSNL 3G Wi-Fi Router Winknet Mf50 – Price Rs. 5,800

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited launched a new 3GWi-Fi pocket router in association with Shyam Networks. The device has been named Winknet Mf50 . Winknet MF 50 will be a SIM locked (only BSNL sim) router and will convert the data signal connection to WiFi, thus creating a WiFi hotspot which can be used by minimum five users simultaneously for connecting WiFi enabled devices including smartphones, laptops and personal computers.
It offers an uploading speed of 14.4 Mbps. The router will be available in the lmarket at a price of around Rs. 5,800.

BSNL Brings Three Android Tablets (PantaTpad), Price Starts at Rs 3,250

BSNL in association with Pantel Technologies announced three Android tablets , under the name Panta Tpad in the market. Among the three tablets, two of them are 7 inch resistive screen based and one is 8 inch capacitive touchscreen based. All of them run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. The Panta Tpads are priced at Rs 3,250, Rs 10,999 and Rs 13,500 .
Panta Tpads are manufactured by Noida Based Company Pantel will be sold with discounted data plans from BSNL .
The cheapest model is Panta TpadIS 701r is priced at Rs 3,250 and can be considered as a rival to India’s low cost tablet Aakash which is priced at just Rs 2500. However, Tpad has better specification than the Datawind’s low cost tablet
Panta Tpad is a WiFi only tablet with Android2.3 operating system, it has a 1 GHz processor (ARM11 IMAP210) clubbed with 256MB RAM . The tablet also offers HDMI port through which it can be connected to a TV. Its 7 inch resistive touch screen comes with 800×600 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio .
The tablet has a 3000 mAh battery and 2 GB internal memory which can be expanded through micro SD card. The tablet also has a VGA front facing camera for video calling. While Panta Tpad IS 701r has the BSNL branding, the other two tablets images do not have.
The second tablet is named ‘ Panta Tpad_ws704c ‘. It has the same specification as 701r but offers added 3G connectivity which supports both CDMA/EVDO and GSM, inbuilt A-GPS , Accelerometer and Bluetooth . It also comes with a 2 megapixel rear camera and also has bigger 512 MB RAM for faster performance.
The costliest amongst the three isthe Tpad WS802C which hasan 8 inch capacitive screen . It comes with a faster 1.2 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM . The internal memory is also bigger at 4 GB . Rest of the features like GPS , camera and Bluetooth are same as the 704C.

BSNL launched ‘ Choose Your Mobile Number Scheme

BSNL launched ‘ Choose Your Mobile Number Scheme ‘ across the country which would provide a new customer with vast range of over one lakh numbers to choose from.
The scheme provides access through broadband and also through SMS . Customers can log on to the BSNL website and click on `choose your mobile number’ option. Those who do not have broadband connection may opt for SMS option through which they will get ten numbers on mobile from which they can choose desired number.
The scheme was first launched in Andhra Pradesh on November 1 and it received very good response. The sale of mobile connections under this scheme has crossed 1.2 lakh.
BSNL Chairman and Managing Director R K Upadhyay said:
“Enthused by the success of the scheme in Andhra Pradesh, BSNL has now decided to launch the scheme all over the country. BSNL will set targets for the scheme after watching the initial response. We expect that the scheme will attract more than 20 lakh new subscribers.

bsnl introduced a new 2G prepaid plan for senior citizens in kerala

BSNL has launched a new 2G Prepaid Plan for Senior Citizens (60 years or above) of Keralatelecom circle. Under this plan, customers have to take a new sim and a Starter Pack of Rs. 60 which is valid for 30 days and will offer Rs. 20 talktime , all local on-net calls at 1 ps/2sec and off-net calls at 1 ps/sec for first month. Customer will also get 200 free sms for first month (30 days) and 50 free message s on second month onwards.
This plan include free talk at 30p/min to any BSNL number within Kerala from 17.00 hrs to 22:00 hrs (all days). There is also special call rate on 5 of the choose numbers ( Friends and Family ) at 20ps/min on BSNL network and 30ps/min on othernetwork.
The sales of this free SIM is through BSNL outlets only. No migration is allowed from other plans to the Senior citizens plan.
