Sony Xperia Sola Android Phone with 1GHz Dual-Core Processor Announced


Sony Mobile Communications added Xperia sola, a new mobile phone to its portfolio of Android powered Xperia smartphones. Xperia sola is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android platform 2.3 platform which can be up-gradable to Android 4.0 . It has 3.7″ RealityDisplay powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine, xLOUDand 3D surround sound audio.
Complete with Sony technology, premium entertainment and innovative floating touchTM navigation , the NFC enabled Xperia sola comes equipped with Xperia SmartTags , allowing consumers to change their smartphone’s settings and applications to fit their lifestyle in an instant. Xperia sola will be available to consumers globally in black, white and red in the second quarter.
A floating touch of magic
Making its smartphone debut exclusively on Xperia sola, Sony’s unique floating touch lets consumers navigate the web by hovering their finger above the screen so it acts like a moving curser, without actually having to touch the screen. Once the desired link is found it can be highlighted and a simple tap will load the page. Floating touch will evolve with new user functionality and applications through software updates and engagement with developers.
Simplify the everyday with SmartTags
Xperia sola is NFC enabled and comes with two NFC Xperia SmartTags in the box as standard to simplify consumers’ everyday smartphone experiences. By touching an NFC Android smartphone on a SmartTag, a pre-configured profile in the smartphone will launch. The two SmartTags included with Xperia sola can be personalized with up to 10 commands. Out of the box one is ready for the living room to turn on Wi-Fi and launch Google news and weather apps,and the other one for the bedroom, which turns on the alarm and switches to silent mode. Xperia sola supports NFC pairing, allowing consumers to enjoy great connectivity with other NFC smartphones, applications and services by tapping their smartphones together.

Sony Mobile Xperia P and Xperia U Smartphones Unveiled at MWC


Sony Mobile Communications unveiled Xperia P and Xperia U , the latest additions toits Xperia NXT series – next generation smartphones from Sony. In addition, Xperia S, the ultimate HD smartphone, is now shipping to markets across the globe, with first sales in the Sony Style store in Barcelonaduring Mobile World Congress. Xperia P and Xperia U will be available to consumers globally in the second quarter of this year.
Xperia NXT series – a connected entertainment experience
Incorporating the best of Sony technology and premium entertainment, the Xperia NXT series is a cornerstone of Sony’s connected experience. With easy connectivity, consumers can enjoy and share content on whichever screen best suits them, whether it’s their smartphone, TV, laptop or tablet.
With the next generation of smartphone design from Sony, the Xperia NXT series has a look that is instantly recognisable. These smartphones have intriguing design features including the “transparent element”, a band that encircles the base of the phone and also integrates invisible antenna components. First Sony Smartphone ‘Xperia S’ Unveiled – 4.3 inch Display, 12MP Camera


Sony announced its first smartphone Xperia S , the first smartphone from the new Xperia NXT series . This next generation smartphones from Sony, was announced at Sony’spress conference ahead of the 2012 InternationalCES show in Las Vegas. Instantly Recognizable Design

SonyEricsson Secret Codes


1. S ony Ericsson Secret Menu: -> * <- <- * <- * (-> means press joystick, arrow keys or jogdial to the right and <- means left.) You'll see phone model, software info, IMEI, configuration info, sim lock status, REAL time clock, total call time and text labels. You can also test your phones services and hardware from this menu (main display, camera, LED/illumination, Flash LED, keyboard, earphone, speaker, microphone, radio and vibrator tests)
2. IMEI Number: *#06# -For checking the International Mobile Equipment Identity.
3. Lockstatus: <- * * <- -SIM lock - Do not lock your phone if you don't know the unlock code. This is another good check before you buy any phone, especially second hand ones. If phone is SIM locked, you may not be able toswitch to other GSM operators.
4. Shortcut to last dialed numbers: 0#
5. Shortcut to sim numbers: On main menu type a number and press #
6. If you change the language from default to any other language, then it may be difficult to switch to default language. The shortcut is very simple. Just press <0000>. <> stands for right arrow button or joystick.
